Encounters

When you wander around with a thumping great DSLR sung around your neck, people sometimes stop you and ask you to take their photograph. On other occasions, I summon up enough courage to ask complete strangers if I can take their picture. Either way, there’s little time for messing about before the subject gets bored and wanders off – so there’s no fumbling around for the right settings and you rarely get the chance to take more than one or two shots.
