Minis and Fords
Yesterday’s attempts at photographing the ford at Eynsford were problematic. First, I had to wait a while for a Spaniel to get bored of thrashing around in the water chasing sticks and then, no sooner had I finished setting up my camera with tripod and filters, than the early morning tranquillity was sonorously interrupted by the arrival of Mick in his Mini Cooper.
If life gives you lemons, you make lemonade and so I found myself doing an impromptu car shoot. In case you were wondering, this is a Mk II and it rolled off the line in 1968. The paintwork, which is “El Paso Beige” with a snow white roof, was damned hard to capture in strong sunlight.
And I still managed to come home with my long exposure photo of the ford.
