London Photo Show 2021

Thrilled to have exhibited five of my photographs at the London Photo Show in the Barge House Gallery on London’s Southbank (11-13th November 2021). Sharing wall space with the talented Andrew Waller, the common theme was motorsports and it took me far longer than it should have done to make my selection.

Sadly, our prints turned up late to the gallery and our piece of wall was bare for the Opening Night Preview and for the first two days of the exhibition but, when they finally arrived, they attracted suitable attention and some very nice people made some very nice comments.

This was one of those rare occasions when this digital photographer held actual prints of the photographs in his hand and was relieved that, despite sleepless nights of worry, they looked as good on the gallery wall as they had on the screen!

By complete coincidence, three of the photos show Goodwood stalwart, Duncan Pittaway, tamer of The Beast of Turin. From top to bottom, the photographs show: Duncan and The Beast in full flight at the 77th Goodwood Members’ Meeting (2019); a Lister-Jaguar “Knobbly” in the pit lane at Goodwood Motor Circuit; Duncan Pittaway in his startlingly original-looking Bugatti Type 35; Mr Pittaway (again) forcing the Beast through the rain at the 78th Goodwood members’ Meeting (2021) and finally, Katarina Kyvalova getting ready to take her Cooper-Jaguar T33 out on track for the Freddie March Memorial Trophy at the Goodwood Revival in 2019.
